My Favorite Recipe! Kale & Brussel Sprouts!

A few years back, my cousin moved in with me and introduced me to my favorite recipe, Kale and Brussel Sprouts! My love for this meal got out of hand, I became addicted to Kale and Brussel Sprouts to the point where I was eating them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, almost every day! I am happy to report that I have broken through my addiction and have cut down to only making this meal about once a week.

For those of you who are interested in this amazing meal, here is how I make it

First I wash up my brussel sprouts and kale and pre- heat the oven to 400.

Brussel Sprouts

I like to chop off the ends of my sprouts and if they are larger then I cut them in half, that way they don't take as long to cook

After these are all chopped up, I put them in a foil lined cake pan. I drizzle olive oil and balsamic vinegar over the sprouts. I also sprinkle garlic salt and crushed red pepper on them as well. I don't have any exact measurements for these ingredients, but I probably go a little heavier than most would.

After that, I take the kale, wash it, and cut around the stem, the stems tend to be too tough.

I tear up the kale into smaller pieces and place them in the pan on top of the Brussel Sprouts. I add the olive oil, vinegar, garlic salt, and crushed red pepper to the top of the kale also.

I then cover the pan with foil and cook it for about 30 minutes - then enjoy!


Ingredients:

  • 6-8 kale leaves
  • 20 Brussel Spouts
  • Olive oil
  • Balsamic Vinegar
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Garlic salt

Cook everything for 30 minutes at 400 degrees
